Data Handler

The Data Handler is a portable device that is used to communicate via RF with the EMMs used in a herd test. One Data Handler can work with a parlour full of EMMs. Herd information is checked for accuracy as it is entered, thereby minimising errors . The Data Handler can interface with a printer allowing fast feedback after a herd test. The Data Handler can also interface with a PC allowing two way communication with the herd recording database and removing the need for manual data entry at the laboratory.

Conveniently Portable
Utilises a long-life rechargeable battery. The Data Handler can be used in any milking environment.

RF link
Data Handler and EMM communicate via RF for fast, accurate data transfer.

Electronic Data Entry
No pen and paper required. All herd test data is entered into the Data Handler during milking, removing the possibility of downstream transcription errors.

Immediate Cow Identification
Herd information is uploaded prior to a herd test, so any duplicates, unknown or missed cows are identified instantly during the herd test.

RFID Interface
Automated RFID capability can be switched on, ensuring 100% accuracy and traceability to an individual cow.

Automated Downloads
Data downloads are effortlessly emailed to the herd test centre and data processing facility, reducing editing time and costs back at the herd test centre

Software Flexibility
Customer specific functions can be added to the Data Handler for a solution tailored to your herd testing system.

Printout and Soft Copy
Milking data can be printed out for the farmer at the end of a herd test, or alternatively, a soft copy on disc or memory stick can be left at the farm either printed directly from Data Handler or from your PC.
